SOXAL EXTENDS COLLABORATION WITH CHARTERED FOR NITROGEN GAS SUPPLY TO 300MM FAB

Singapore Oxygen Air Liquide Pte Ltd, a joint venture between The BOC Group and Air Liquide, has signed a bulk gas contract with Chartered Semiconductor Manufacturing, one of the world's top semiconductor foundries, for the supply of nitrogen to Chartered's 300 mm facility, Fab 7.

Under the agreement, SOXAL will expand the customized tank farm for Fab 7 to include a dedicated nitrogen plant for producing ultra-pure nitrogen, compressed dry air and compressed dry air stepper.

SOXAL currently supplies ultra-pure carrier gases such as nitrogen, hydrogen, argon, oxygen and helium to Chartered’s other facilities.
