BOC OFFERS BAKERS A PERFECT RECIPE, TIME AFTER TIME

Murray Hill, New Jersey, U.S., July 21, 2004, BOC (NYSE:BOX) will show bakers how they can achieve a perfect recipe, time after time, with the company’s range of technology-based, value-added solutions on display at the International Baking Industry Exposition in Las Vegas, Nevada.

BOC will be exhibiting at the Las Vegas Convention Center. Peter Lai, BOC's segment manager for bakery and prepared foods, said, ”BOC’s ability to integrate solutions into the manufacturing process has a direct, positive impact on a baker’s ability to control costs and improve operational efficiency.”

Besides meeting with Lai and other BOC bakery experts, bakers who visit the BOC booth will be able to see two of BOC’s proprietary cryogenic solutions, an impingement freezer and an integrated bulk ingredient flour chilling system.

Amy Ficon, sales support manager, food market sector, BOC, says, "The cryogenic impingement freezer combines high-velocity airflow with the atomized liquid nitrogen to produce a continuous, consistent, uniform freezing not found in mechanical impingement freezers.”

The flour chilling system, which can be easily installed on existing conveying lines or as part of a new system, eliminates fluctuations in ingredient temperatures. "Bakers love the fact that the technology produces consistent flour temperatures (+/- 1/2° F) even in extreme heat," Ficon says.
