BOC OPENS NEW RETAIL AND DISTRIBUTION FACILITY IN BALTIMORE

| BOC will open a new welding supply and gases retail store and distribution facility in Baltimore, Maryland on August 25, 2003. According to Charles Quillen, regional stores manager, BOC, the new facility, which is located at 6963 Golden Ring Road, is both convenient and customer-friendly. |
"It will have double the retail space and double the warehouse space of our previous Baltimore location," Quillen says. "It will carry a complete line of welding gases, equipment and accessories, and safety related supplies. The showroom is completely updated and there are plans to add a customer demonstration area in the near future. There is also improved parking, lighting and security." In addition to serving walk-in welding customers, the new branch will function as a distribution center for deliveries of industrial, medical and special gases to BOC’s direct channel customers. John Moreland, vice president and general manager, Northeast region, BOC, said, "Five years ago, we acquired a compressed gases business in Baltimore. This new and expanded facility underscores our commitment to our customers in the greater Baltimore area, a vital link between our Philadelphia, Pennsylvania and Richmond, Virginia supply and distribution chain."
