THINKAGE OFFERS POULTRY PROCESSORS RISK FREE SERVICE CONTRACT
08 April 2002 - BOC Gases
| Thinkage LLC has introduced a revolutionary, risk free service agreement that allows poultry processors to gain total control over the state of their product throughout the entire production process. |
Thinkage helps poultry processors reduce or eliminate process yield fluctuations, equipment downtime and product inconsistency by using the proprietary BOC Think GatesTM service offering from Thinkage. The Think Gates offering enables processors to monitor and control the state of their food product as it moves from one processing cell to another. Thinkage now is offering this service to processors under a risk-free agreement that eliminates the need for capital outlay and which grants poultry processors the flexibility to terminate the contract at any time, for any reason, within the first year. Mark Grace, president, Thinkage, LLC says, "poultry processors are free to focus on optimizing their plant’s operations, and not on installing or maintaining expensive equipment. They don’t have to worry about getting stuck with equipment or with a contract that’s not right for their plant or that delivers no benefits. "Our experience shows that monthly operational improvements such as increased yield, product consistency, and productivity total at least three to five times the monthly cost of the Think Gates service. These improvements are significant, but only represent about 50 percent of the service’s total benefit. The Think Gates offering also helps poultry processors increase customer satisfaction through full compliance with customer specifications," Grace said. Thinkage starts by taking an incremental approach, focusing on a very doable area first, such as one specific area or line, to demonstrate the success of the Think Gates system. "This type of approach reduces the risks for both the customer and for Thinkage while we learn how to work efficiently together. Customers get an easy starting point to ensure the service is operating within budget and can expand or contract the service as needed," Grace concludes. The Think Gates service uses between 100 and 1,000 sensors per product line to monitor a wide variety of food parameters including viscosity, shape, aroma and color. The comprehensive service agreement fully covers all linked sensors, electronic network components, user software, and an on-site coordinator to manage the entire network.
