THINKAGE ADDS REMOTE MONITORING TO SUPPORT CUSTOMER ACCESS TO PLANT INFORMATION

Food processors using Thinkage LLC’s Think Gates service to control the state of their product now have another tool to increase yield and improve product consistency. Thinkage has added a computerized customer operations and management service center to support customer access to key plant information.

The COMS center acts as a central clearinghouse to make sure the Think Gates software applications used to track customer processes are fine-tuned to meet the customer’s specific needs. No matter where a plant is located, COMS experts can troubleshoot problems remotely, implement design requests and upgrade reporting systems in real-time.

"The COMS center’s remote monitoring capability eliminates the old practice of calling and waiting days or weeks for a service representative to visit a facility. It allows plant operators and managers to focus on optimizing their processes, not on fixing or maintaining equipment," says Paul Davenport, director, thinking systems, Thinkage.

Thinkage helps food processors reduce or eliminate process yield fluctuations, equipment downtime and product inconsistency by using BOC’s proprietary Think Gatestm service. The service enables processors to monitor and control the state of their food product as it moves from one processing cell to another.

"The COMS center allows us to monitor the health of the Think Gates platform and user interfaces and to rapidly make any needed adjustments or enhancements. That way, users of the Think Gates service, everyone from operators to supervisors to management, have a flexible and adaptable decision-making tool right at their fingertips," Davenport said.
