The AIRCO Distributor Association extended Hypertherm's preferred supplier status for Plasma Equipment. The ADA represents more than 120 distributors nationwide, and the group facilitates more than $1 billion in sales of welding gases and hardgoods annually. One of the key objectives of the ADA is to create value for both ADA members and the vendors that support the ADA. The ADA solicits competitive bids from suppliers, designating the winning solicitation the "Preferred Supplier" of a particular good or service to ADA members. In return, The ADA requires and monitors member compliance with "Preferred Supplier" purchasing objectives; this compliance matrix is unique in the industry. "It's a win-win situation," said Gerry O'Connor, general manager of industrial products for BOC Gases, and ADA Board member, "Hypertherm has benefited from ADA promotion, and ADA members have benefited from guaranteed pricing and availability, and purchasing incentives such as rebates. The ADA has had an excellent relationship with Hypertherm over the past three years and looks forward to continuing that relationship into the 21st century." "Hypertherm is very pleased to continue our relationship with the ADA. The past three years have been of great benefit to Hypertherm, and we hope to our ADA partners," said Jeff Deckrow, western division sales manager for Hypertherm. "Our mutual sales growth over the past three years has been solid, and we look forward to continuing this trend into the future with the ADA," he added.
