Brazilian cosmetic maker Natura has selected Eastman's Glass Polymer copolyester for its new ‘Due’ perfume packaging. Natura has launched Due in both a women's and men's version. Each uses The Glass Polymer copolyester as a major package component.

'We chose The Glass Polymer copolyester for the material's glass-like clarity and dimensional stability during finishing,' said Renato Wakimoto, Natura's developing packaging manager. 'It easily handled eight-cavity injection moulding with a 1.5-mm wall thickness, and required lower temperatures, which meant faster cycle times.' Due is Natura's second use of The Glass Polymer in its product packaging. The company also used the Eastman plastic in its Kaiak perfume package, introduced two years ago.
