BARLO PLASTICS ADDS COLOUR TO SPECTAR PRODUCT RANGE

| Barlo Plastics announces an extension of the Spectar product range with capability to produce colours and a new 12 mm and 15 mm thickness. Barlo Plastics has also received a pan European certificate on impact strength for Spectar. These new products are launched to further enhance designers’ choice and possibilities for new and existing applications. |
The Spectar new colours include:
• white
• bronze
• black
• grey
• green
• fluor green
• blue
• fluor blue
• red
• fluor red
• yellow
• fluor yellow Besides the existing thickness of 0,8 mm up to 10 mm, Spectar sheet are now available in two new thicknesses of 12 mm and 15 mm. These new thicknesses offer a very high impact resistance and a significant toughness, particularly in safety and security applications. The thicker sheet allows large area glazing with less glazing bars. Spectar sheet has recently obtained a pan-European certification for high impact strength (DIN 18036) for sheets of 8 and 10 mm thickness. This certificate allows the use of 8 and 10 mm thick Spectar sheets in Ice-hockey stadiums for protection of the audience. The product features will provide design houses, specifiers of promotional material, packaging and point of purchase displays and designers with a wider selection to design and develop their ideas. Further it will strengthen Barlo Plastics’ position in the POS/POP market and in the thermo- and vacuum forming industry.
