CAPE AND CORROCOAT HAVE ANNOUNCED AN AGREEMENT FORMING A STRATEGIC ALLIANCE
Cape and Corrocoat, two significant names in corrosion treatment and prevention, have announced an agreement forming a strategic alliance. The agreement enables the two organisations to provide customers with an unrivalled asset management service comprising access, assessment, removal and surface preparation with protection solutions and materials all from one source, for both onsite and shop re-engineering projects. Benefits of the multi-discipline service for customers are expected to include efficiency of service, reduced downtime and cost savings. The alliance will create innovative concepts, where services are developed around each customer’s requirement and individual operational issues. This is expected to make a significant contribution in the battle against corrosion. Both organisations can call on substantial international track records with blue chip clients. Corrocoat couples a range of high technology coatings and structural composites with skilled engineering technology, providing an effective corrosion prevention and repair service to a diverse range of industries. Cape has over 50 years of contracting and access experience, with a first rate infrastructure for delivering the highest levels of single or multi- disciplined services. Building on the successful elements of the two businesses, Cape and Corrocoat aim to offer a flexible approach, pooling their resources and expertise to provide customers with a" total commitment quality service". John Welsh, Regional Executive Director for Cape Industrial Services, stresses that the two companies will be co-operating fully in the venture. "This is a new and highly innovative partnership which we believe will be welcomed by industry, providing ‘the’ comprehensive answer to corrosion problems," he said. Commenting for Corrocoat, Chief Executive Charles Watkinson underlines the key objective behind the agreement. "Our alliance represents a new concept in the fight against corrosion", he stated. "Our two companies will combine their extensive abilities to provide customers with total and comprehensive solutions."
