Husky Hot Runners has developed a new Split Sprue Bar that keeps the molding area clear for free drop of parts or easy robot access, and features a stem-to-stem shutoff to eliminate stringing and drool.

Husky Hot Runners has developed a new Split Sprue Bar that keeps the molding area clear for free drop of parts or easy robot access, and features a stem-to-stem shutoff to eliminate stringing and drool.

Demonstrated on Husky's HyPAC thinwall packaging system at NPE, the Split Sprue Bar is ideal for 2, 3 and 4 level machine based carriers. Configurable for a variety of applications, it can be used in an offset stack arrangement or in an in-line configuration.

Additional benefits of the new Split Sprue Bar include:

Ease of start-up, operation and installation
Stem shutoff to eliminate stringing and drool
Stems can be individually actuated
Clear access for part handling
Three sizes capable of handling throughputs up to 1,500 g/s
Available in two configurations
Inline: Single Cavity Valve Gate on stationary side; pneumatic
Offset: Transfer hot runner on stationary side; pneumatic
