THE HAEGER 824 ONETOUCH-3 INSERTION PRESS HAS BEEN COMPLETELY RE-DESIGNED FOR 2006
11 November 2006 - Metalforming Machinery Makers' Association
| The Haeger 824 OneTouch-3 insertion press has been completely re-designed for 2006 and is now available through Shear-Form Machine Tools Ltd, the Coventry based sheet metal and plate working machinery supplier and sole UK representative for California based insertion press manufacturer Haeger Inc. |
The 824 OneTouch-3 insertion press has a force range adjustable up to 72kN, a 610mm throat depth, 0-215mm adjustable stroke length and is capable of handling up to 1500 insertions per hour. It is economic to use as the hydraulic system uses approximately 40% less energy than air or air over other hydraulic methods. It is also extremely accurate allowing the operator to apply full tonnage at any point in the stroke and is supplied as standard with 4 x Modular Autofeed Systems, New features include a servo-driven tool changer which has a 3 second automatic tool change, a new shuttle tooling platform providing 2-minute tooling set up for any fastener, new upper vacuum tip system with positive locking, new LED laser part locating light plus the latest release of Haegers InsertionLogic version 9 software. The new 4-station automatic upper and lower tool changing system with servo-driven upper axis can be used with shuttle and shuttle-nut style tooling. It allows one-time handling of parts with multiple fasteners at the same time as acting as a secondary batch counter, so that the tools will not change until the required number of fasteners are inserted. The new laser part locating light uses a ‘red cross hair' laser locator to quickly and easily show the operator exactly where each fastener is inserted. The InsertionLogic version 9 software with practically unlimited on-board program storage, InsertionGraphics (Patent pending) and optional quality control pack includes Networking Software Communications, off-line Programming and Digital Camera Package. The networking feature gives the Operator simple communications between the OneTouch and a PC or network, enabling him/her to create and store programs off-line and call them up on multiple presses. New Quality Assurance features are able to handle multiple types and sizes of fasteners during one part handling include the checking of the fastener length and its presence.
