IDA ANNOUNCE NEXT PHASE OF STRATEGIC OBJECTIVES FOR EUROPEAN MANUFACTURING FACILITIES
07 November 2006 - Metalforming Machinery Makers' Association

For nearly 90 years AIDA has been helping customers gain a competitive advantage by designing and building revolutionary metal forming solutions. As a technology partner, AIDA is dedicated to maintaining a flexible organization with strong global resources and local service and support.

As part of that strategic objective, the AIDA Global Group announced it has named a new president for AIDA Europe and has plans to implement the next phase of development for its manufacturing facilities headquartered in Italy. Eiji Takei has been named president of AIDA Europe. A long-time associate of the AIDA Global Group, Mr. Takei brings a broad range of experience to the position. Masaharu Sakaki, who assumed leadership when AIDA acquired the Manzoni and Rovetta divisions in 2004, has been promoted to Executive In Charge of Global Sales. AIDA has added to its management team by naming Peter Schueller vice-president of the Lecco manufacturing facility and Renato Nardi vice-president of the Brescia manufacturing facility. “It has always been the philosophy of AIDA to be first in quality, cost effectiveness and technology in the field of deformation systems because it is that combination of characteristics that helps our customers achieve optimal performance,” said Takei “To that end AIDA has worked to put the necessary pieces in place to create a strong backbone for the company that spans the globe. A production base on the European continent is key to this infrastructure. It allows AIDA to efficiently supply and service deformation systems to customers in the automotive, house appliance and other critical markets while helping them to gain higher levels of quality and productivity.” The AIDA European manufacturing facilities help support the multi-tiered capability to deliver mechanical presses and metalforming equipment capable of delivering higher productivity, more accurate parts, longer die life and lower operating costs. In addition to tailoring press systems to customer needs, AIDA’s European base allows the press builder to leverage opportunities for new product development, minimize logistics costs and shorten delivery times.
