Roemheld will be demonstrating how it has made it easier than ever for smaller companies to start using hydraulic clamping with the launch of its new Matrix system. These low-cost sets include clamping elements and claws that can be directly mounted onto the machine tool table as well as all the necessary hydraulic pipework and a pressure generator. Ideal for small batch sizes, this will means significant time and cost savings as well as ensuring the high repeatability required for precise machining. Individual clamping and unclamping times will reduce and through simple positioning of the clamping elements the system can be easily adjusted to different workpiece sizes. The Matrix sets of swing clamps, hand slide clamps and clamping and locking elements guarantee the highest possible flexibility even for applications that require four clamping points. For such tasks, a clamping element with integrated work support is available which supports the workpiece from below. The three remaining elements are adjusted by intermediate flanges to the same overall height. See the Matrix system at the Roemheld workholding stand 4405 at MACH 2006.
