NEW ANCILLARY COIL PROCESSING EQUIPMENT AND LUBRICATION SYSTEMS
13 November 2006 - Metalforming Machinery Makers' Association
| Smalandsstenar, Sweden based SMV Industrier AB’s subsidiary in the UK, SMV Presses (UK) Ltd based in Coventry is exhibiting a range of presses, ancillary coil processing equipment and lubrication systems. |
New products include SMV’s New Multi Terminal Feeder Control System, which combines control of the power press, servo roll feed and line administration so that the operator has one control terminal. Features of this new control system include advanced automation with a memory function, module choice combinations, including electronic cam control as well as network integration and full programming off line. Information on SMV products including 300 – 20,000 kN C-framed and straight sided 4-column power presses, customised coil handling equipment including servo feed rolls, strip straighteners, de-coilers and tool change trolleys will be available, as well as power press ancillaries, including scrap choppers, nibbling machines and tooling. Also on show will be a Multi-Lube System for the application and metering of thin lubricants and other low viscosity liquids onto coil strip and tools used in automatic and manual stamping, pressing, bending, drawing and deep drawing operations. Multi-Lube is very cost effective as it only delivers the exact amount of lubricant needed, regardless of the strip width. SMV Presses (UK), the sole UK representative for the EMG range of mechanical presses from EMG-Long s.a in Rumilly, France. A 30 ton press will be exhibited, being one of a range from 6 – 45 tonnes able to increase productivity by up to 20% through their performance capabilities with 8 different work cycles being controlled by a single key operated selector. They are used in watch making, jewellery making, spectacle making, by locksmiths, ‘white goods’ and automotive manufacturing and even toy making. The Company will also have details on its range of presses from Italian press manufacturer, IMV Presse, including Double Con Rod ‘DM’ presses ranging from 1,600kN to 20,000kN.
