Rogers Corporation will be exhibiting its R/bak SA 3000 Cushion Mounting Tape, a product that offers consistent print results, higher print quality and easier handling at this year’s LabelExpo Americas. This product is aimed at the 0.020” (0.51 mm) thin tape market, which is composed of primarily wide web flexible packaging printers.

SA 3000 combines Rogers’ proven open cell urethane cushion technology and specially developed acrylic adhesives in a product construction designed to handle easily while providing the most consistent print results and superior print quality in any printing environment. The benefits of improved print quality include lower dot gain and higher solid ink densities in the printed product. Performance properties of the SA 3000 cushion mounting tapes contribute to consistent impressions over the entire press run and help to eliminate problems on press, all with fewer press adjustments. This cushion also enables easier printing on rough surfaces, and reduces gear banding and press bounce.

R/bak SA 3000 is designed with a transparent liner, which is textured for easier mounting, minimizing air bubbles and making the task of tape laydown easier. This liner also makes seam formation effortless. The high performance adhesive system allows for quick repositioning of both tape and plate in the printing process. This system prevents plate lift during the run and allows demounting after the run is done.

Rogers R/bak materials are offered worldwide through an extensive network of knowledgeable distributors. Based in Rogers, CT, Rogers Corporation manufactures specialty materials and components for use in the package-printing, consumer, automotive, transportation, communications and computer markets.
