Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. announced the release of the new TNPW e3 series of high-stability thin-film flat chip resistors in seven industry-standard sizes.

Vishay’s new TNPW e3 thin-film flat chip resistors are optimized for modern electronics applications that call for high stability and reliability. Typical applications include automotive, telecommunications, industrial, aerospace, medical equipment, and precision test and measuring equipment.

The TNPW e3 devices provide extremely stable and reliable operation even under harsh environmental conditions. The resistors offer high load life stability of ≤±0.05 % and superior moisture resistivity of ≤±0.25 % after 85 °C / 85 % Relative Humidity for 56 days. The resistors are tested at load life 200 °C for 1000h showing deviation of ≤±0.25 % after this test.

With a variety of different case sizes availabl, ranging from 0402 up to 2512, the new resistors cover the whole range of rated power dissipation. The devices feature tolerances as low as ±0.1 % and TCR values ranging from ±50 ppm/K to as low as ±10 ppm/K. Standard resistance values range from 10 Ω to 8.87 MΩ.

The new series of resistors are suitable for processing on automatic SMD assembly systems and for automatic soldering using wave, reflow, or vapor phase. The devices are RoHS- compliant, and their pure tin plating provides compatibility with lead (Pb)-free and lead (Pb)-containing soldering processes.
