| Matrox Video Products Group today announced the immediate availability of comprehensive MXF support for the Matrox DSX family of HD and SD video and audio components via the MOG Solutions MXF::IO for Matrox DSX plug-in. |
The Matrox DSX platforms combine codec and effects technologies and a full range of professional hardware components with a comprehensive Windows XP-based SDK to enable OEMs and developers to create a wide variety of cost-effective, broadcast products. Applications include NLE systems, capture/playout servers, clip and still stores, graphics/production servers, automation and master control units, multi-layer compositors, and CATV barker channels. The MOG Solutions MXF::IO for Matrox DSX is an MXF plug-in that extends the functionality of the Matrox DSX Software Development Kit to enable reading and writing of MXF files compliant with Sony XDCAM and XDCAM HD, and Panasonic P2. "MXF is today the standard format for providing interoperability between broadcasters and video manufactures and adds the possibility to support new workflows due to its metadata support," said Vitor Teixeira, VP product development and sales for MOG Solutions. XVUE iOrasis studio builds on the capabilities of the Matrox DSX Software Development Kit, providing a pure .NET framework for rapid application development. It simplifies the work of custom solution providers and developers in creating complex broadcast effects, letting them concentrate on project-specific logic or data sources needed to go on-air. iOrasis studio can be used to build customized news or entertainment channels, SMS voting channels, interactive shows, and other live production environments with multi-layer graphics, video effects, and multiple playlists in a single Matrox DSX-based system.
