Rohm and Haas Company has introduced a new 100% acrylic binder, Rhoplex HG-706 emulsion, into the architectural coatings market. The state-of-the-art binder features crosslinking technology for the formulation of interior and exterior VOC-compliant aqueous gloss and semigloss enamels.

Rohm and Haas Company has introduced a new 100% acrylic binder, Rhoplex HG-706 emulsion, into the architectural coatings market. The state-of-the-art binder features crosslinking technology for the formulation of interior and exterior VOC-compliant aqueous gloss and semigloss enamels.

Rhoplex HG-706 emulsion takes advantage of innovative technology to improve enamel performance over that of conventional latex polymers. The combination of all-acrylic backbone and ambient-cure crosslinking technology provides superior performance in formulations ranging from 50 to 150 g/l VOC. Paints based on Rhoplex HG-706 emulsion has excellent gloss potential, excellent early and ultimate block resistance, excellent alkyd adhesion, and outstanding stain removal.
