Sharp Corporation will introduce into the Japanese market two new humidifying air purifiers in five model variations that powerfully remove airborne household dust, pet odors and other absorbed odors using a full-fledged humidifying function combined with Plasmacluster Ions.
Using the effects of Humidifying + Plasmacluster Ions, these models achieve approximately double the air purifying power, 3.5 times the static electricity removal power, and 3 times the odor removal power compared to previous models, quickly removing drifting house dust and eliminating odors hanging in the air such as pet smells and odors clinging to curtains. In addition, the industry's highest humidifying capacity of 600 mL/hour creates a pleasantly moist environment at 60% humidity, protecting the nose and throat from dryness, as well as inhibiting the activity of viruses through the action of Plasmacluster Ions. Plus, electricity costs are only about one-fifth (640 yen annually) of using separate air purifier and humidifier units. Demand for humidifiers is increasing as consumers seek a means to prevent common colds and dryness during the winter season resulting from higher use of forced-air heating.
