Sharp Corporation announces the introduction into the Japanese market of 12 new digital full-color MFPs that use the newly developed Mycrostoner, a development that reduces toner consumption by approximately 30% compared to previous models while giving copies with superb detail and image quality.

Mycrostoner has smaller grains than our previous toner, a factor that contributes to consistent and precise high-quality copies. Besides giving faithful reproduction of neutral skin tones and the minutest details, it also gives perfect printouts of small text and graphs, allowing users to output documents containing text and graphics with amazing detail.

These models boast three major advantages: “ecology” through dramatic reductions in toner consumption and power consumption in fax standby mode; “revolution” as exemplified by the Mycrostoner and other advances; and “solutions” through compatibility with open systems. These three form Sharp’s new development concept behind these 12 new MFPs that offer a quantum leap in document production for the office.

Major Features
1. Newly developed Mycrostoner reduces toner consumption by approximately 30% compared to Sharp’s previous models while giving high-quality copies with faithful reproduction of neutral skin tones and the finest details.
2. Less than 1 W power consumption in fax standby mode, an approximately 96% reduction over previous models.
3. Common design for the entire series has resulted in an approximately 51% reduction in the number of molded parts.
4. Proprietary security system prevents data leaks in case of unauthorized access.
5. Sharp’s Open System Architecture provides an environment for third-party software developers to develop applications that meet user needs.
