COMO-MIS, TAKING A CLOSE WATCH AT INJECTION MOLDING PRODUCTION
23 January 2007 - Kistler Instruments

CoMo-MIS from Kistler now offers a quick yet comprehensive overview during the hectic routine of injection molding. This new database-related manufacturing information system Type 2829A... is suitable for comprehensive analysis and documentation of production based on cavity pressure. It operates in conjunction with Kistler's CoMo Injection monitoring units Type 2869A… and automates the entire flow of information from process data.

CoMo-MIS contains a database in which the production data is archived. To acquire data it communicates via an Ethernet connection with any number of CoMos and offers direct access to the individual units. In addition to the values computed from the process monitoring units, complete curves can also be stored in the database for analysis.

Using a universal web browser client via the intranet or internet, the user can access the CoMo-MIS, examine production data and evaluate current production at any time. CoMo-MIS can be accessed from any type of networked unit in any location. This gives the Production Manager or Quality Manager a comprehensive, current overview at any time and from anywhere in the world.

About: Kistler Instruments
Kistler is one of the world's leading suppliers of measurement technology. Kistler pressure sensors, force sensors and accelerometers use the piezoelectric effect for precise measurement of mechanical properties.

Kistler is a privately-owned Swiss company which develops and manufactures sensors and electronics for measuring pressure, force and acceleration.

Additionally, the functionality of electronics plays an increasing role when defining a measuring system and even more frequently, electronics in fact becomes part of the sensor itself. Most of Kistler's products have been developed in close cooperation between leading universities or research facilities and Kistler's engineers.

Investments in Kistler's research department have led to the development of new crystals which enable reliable measurements to be taken under the most extreme environmental conditions. The results of our in-depth crystal research will give us a leading edge in advancing the state-of-the-art.
