NEW SENSOR TYPE 6052C…
18 January 2007 - Kistler Instruments

The Type 6052C... has again undergone further improvements and is an excellent all-rounder for multi-valve-engines, motorcycle-engines and other small engines, and for on-board indication. This sensor type is the best selling universal sensor world wide. It is un-cooled, robust and miniaturized.

The Type 6052C... has again undergone further improvements and is an excellent all-rounder for multi-valve-engines, motorcycle-engines and other small engines, and for on-board indication. This sensor type is the best selling universal sensor world wide. It is un-cooled, robust and miniaturized.

Compared to the predecessor Type 6052B..., the new type 6052C... is showing a lower susceptibility for installation effects and is having an further extended life time. The front seal allows direct heat dissipation of the diaphragm, guaranteeing good thermal conditions at the sensor. Its rugged construction and its high level of precision make it suitable for measurements at the knock limit as well as for thermodynamic investigations.

For applications mainly in the knocking range or at very high peak pressures, use of the heavy-duty version, Type 6052C...U20 with reinforced diaphragm, is recommended. Type 6052C...U40 is provided with additional damping and is particularly suitable for applications on engines with extremely high vibrations, such as racing engines.

All above mentioned sensors are available from stock and could be delivered with optional PiezoSmart automatic sensor identification.

Features:
• Proven design in M5-size
• Precision sensing element
• Miniaturized and robust
• With PiezoSmart sensor identification

About: Kistler Instruments
Kistler is one of the world's leading suppliers of measurement technology. Kistler pressure sensors, force sensors and accelerometers use the piezoelectric effect for precise measurement of mechanical properties.

Kistler is a privately-owned Swiss company which develops and manufactures sensors and electronics for measuring pressure, force and acceleration.

Additionally, the functionality of electronics plays an increasing role when defining a measuring system and even more frequently, electronics in fact becomes part of the sensor itself. Most of Kistler's products have been developed in close cooperation between leading universities or research facilities and Kistler's engineers.

Investments in Kistler's research department have led to the development of new crystals which enable reliable measurements to be taken under the most extreme environmental conditions. The results of our in-depth crystal research will give us a leading edge in advancing the state-of-the-art.
