LVD began in Belgium in the 1940s as a supplier of farming equipment, but quickly turned its talents to the manufacture of hydraulic presses, press brakes and shears. Through the years, the company has grown and merged its talents with other companies to better serve the needs of its customers, adding laser cutting systems, shears, flexible manufacturing systems and more to its arsenal of products. At the same time, Strippit, Inc., was making its mark in the fabricating world through the introduction of the first self-stripping tools for punch presses. Through the years, Strippit became known as an innovator and manufacturer of turret punch presses and tooling, introducing technology such as contour nibbling, punch/laser combination machines and the Multi-Tool to the world. When Strippit joined the LVD Group of companies in 1998, a new world force was born, offering the most complete array of fabricating equipment from a single source.
