Akzo Nobel has developed a unique temporary paint system which can peeled off after use. Known as Maskin, the product can be applied to any non-porous surface, such as a vehicle body or windows, without risk of damage to the original finish. Quickly and easily removed, it is ideal for either protection or promotional purposes. Devised from the latest waterborne technology, Maskin (a combination of the words mask and skin) is available in eight basic colors, plus one transparent film, and can be mixed to create a wide spectrum of shades. When no longer required, the film can be peeled and disposed of using standard paint waste removal methods.

Akzo Nobel Car Refinishes has launched a new VOC compliant solid color topcoat under the Lesonal brand name. Developed from the latest technology, Lesonal Topcoat HS420 offers significant advantages over the well-established Lesonal 2K Topcoat it will replace. By the introduction of Topcoat HS420 Lesonal has now completed their VOC compliant product assortment to fulfill legislation which will be enforced at bodyshops in Western Europe from 2007 onwards. As you may expect from Lesonal, although completely in line with the latest legislation, the product is very user-friendly in application and provides an excellent end result.
Not only does the Sikkens Autoclear LV Superior range comply with EU 2007 VOC legislation, it gives bodyshops complete control over the speed and quality of the painting process. The range of fast, medium and slow clearcoats and reducers plus Sikkens Autoclear LV Superior hardener can be combined for optimum results, whatever the air temperature, size of repair or time constraints. The longer the drying time, the higher the gloss finish that can be achieved.
Akzo Nobel Car Refinishes has launched a new Mixing Machine System under the Dynacoat brand in Central and Eastern Europe. The Dynacoat Mixing Machine system was especially developed for the trade market in car repair. The Dynacoat Mixing Machine system will be rolled out in Russia, other countries will follow in the summer.
