MacGregor Welding Systems specialise in the design, manufacture and distribution of precision DC micro welding power supplies and welding heads. In addition, the Company also manufactures a range of other precision welding equipment including micro TIG for the coil termination industry and offers an international consultancy service.

The company is the world leader in the design and manufacture of DC micro weld equipment and exports to more than twenty different countries.

Founded by the present directors, Graham & Sandra MacGregor, the firm employs a staff of twenty-five.

All of the MacGregor DC welding equipment operates by controlling the output voltage, current or power to accuracy's of better than 1%. Due to the precise regulation, the equipment is especially popular with those making critical welds to a large range of precision items including instruments, electronic components, batteries, lamps, coils and many other sensitive items.

MacGregor Welding Systems has recently installed an automated assembly system used for manufacturing miniature sensor modules for use in analyser equipment. To meet the requirements, a complete turnkey solution was required, capable of handling small components and welding metallic connector ribbons onto small wire pins.
