Today Matrox Imaging announces the Iris P700 Wafer Reader, another addition to the Matrox Iris P-Series family of programmable smart cameras specifically designed for reading ID marks on semiconductor wafers. Matrox P700 Wafer Reader incorporates custom LED-based illumination and optics as well as a high-resolution image sensor in a compact remote head connected to a small footprint processor unit based on the Intel Ultra Low Power Celeron.
