Husky Injection Molding Systems has introduced a Hylectric machine for virtually every application. The Hylectric line now includes the H90, H160, H225, H300, H400, H500, H650, H800 and H1000. This broad range of machines enables moulding of very small parts like cosmetic containers, to large scale industrial pails.
Husky’s Hylectric is a hybrid injection moulding machine that provides maximum performance by combining hydraulic and electric drives. Hylectrics run moulds at the lowest tonnage in the industry and offer the widest tiebar spacing in their class. An electric screw drive, variable displacement pumps, and accumulator based injection combine for energy efficiency and fast cycle times. “Ease of use and high performance were key design criteria in creating the Hylectric,” says Jim Overbeeke, Husky’s Inside Sales Manager for Hylectric machines. “There are three basic elements to our hydromechanical clamp – a small diameter stroke cylinder to provide fast platen motion, a low (oil) volume clamp piston to apply tonnage, and a rotary locking mechanism to couple the clamp piston and clamp column.” Hylectric machines provide high performance, high cavitation moulding with fully integrated robots, and stack mould and multi-mould carriers that virtually double output.
Every Hylectric machine also features Polaris Control. Polaris uses a single PC to control all system functions—including machine, mould, robot and auxiliary operations—for fast, reliable control and communication within the entire Hylectric system. Its Windows-based touch screen simplifies set-up and operation with automated shut height adjustment and operator-customized screens. Polaris also provides access to remote diagnostic information and is web-enabled
