Commercial epoxy adhesive with peel and impact strength

Master Bond : 01 December, 2004  (New Product)
Many commercial epoxy adhesives have high shear strength but lack sufficient peel and impact strength properties. Master Bond one component epoxy adhesive Supreme 10HT overcomes this long recognized deficiency.
Many commercial epoxy adhesives have high shear strength but lack sufficient peel and impact strength properties. Master Bond one component epoxy adhesive Supreme 10HT overcomes this long recognized deficiency. It has both high peel and shear strength and superior resistance to mechanical vibration, impact and shock. It is particularly recommended for bonding similar and dissimilar metals.

Master Bond Supreme 10HT is a single component system and requires no mixing. It is easy to apply and cures readily above 250F. It can be stored at ambient temperatures and has a storage stability of 6 months without refrigeration.

Typical aluminium/aluminium bond strengths exceed 3600 psi in lap shear and 30 pli in T-peel. The cured joints have very high resistance to moisture, fuels, lubricants and other aggressive environmental conditions. Service operating temperature range is from liquid helium to +400F. Additionally Supreme 10HT passes NASA outgassing test requirements.

Master Bond Supreme 10HT has also been successfully employed in bonding materials with widely different thermal expansion coefficients such as ceramics to metals. The data shown above graphically demonstrates its excellent resistance to fatigue loading and improved energy absorption of bonds under impact loading versus aluminium and cold rolled steel spot welds.
