To help welders to work more efficiently and comfortably, ESAB developed the VacPac system. This ensures that the electrodes are always fresh and dry and avoids the risk of pores in the weld metal and hydrogen cracks.
Now ESAB has introduced a new VacPac for use in any environment. It consists of an inner box wrapped in the original laminated aluminium foil made up of several layers to effectively prevent damp air from penetrating it.
Made from ducted plastic, the box protects the electrodes from impact and abrasion. It can be re-closed to act as a moisture barrier but for best protection the foil should be kept on the package after initial opening.
The foil is partially attached to the inner box but can be separated when finished to facilitate sorting. To guarantee that the electrodes are in perfect condition, they are packed in VacPac immediately after production and air is sucked out and the package sealed.
Complete product information is printed on the foil. Inside the electrodes are dry and ready for use. They can be confidently stored for at least three years if the packaging is unbroken.
The VacPac is cost-effective and is offered in a complete range of ESAB electrodes with packaging sizes adapted to match consumption during a normal working shift. |
