Matrox Video Products Group today announced that Dayang Technology Development Inc. has installed HD systems based on Matrox DSX technology at China's CCTV, the country's largest and most important broadcaster. CCTV Channel 7, which focuses on military affairs, chose nine Dayang D3-Edit HD systems based on the Matrox X.mio 8000 multi-channel HD I/O card as part of its transition from SD to HD. After comprehensive evaluation, CCTV also chose the Dayang D3-CG graphics and title production system, which is based on the Matrox X.mio 5000 card, for its first HD Studio. The decision was made based on the D3-CG's ability to efficiently provide high-quality HD, and at the same time, support the ongoing need for SD production.
'We are striving to produce perfect HD programs with the help of the most advanced technology and D3-Edit HD with Matrox X.mio has all that we want,' said a CCTV Channel 7 engineer. 'We have every reason to believe that D3-Edit HD will provide CCTV with HD images of the highest quality and an HD production workflow of the highest efficiency. The whole nation will see and enjoy marvelous HD programs produced by Dayang D3-Edit HD in the near future.'
'Matrox's DSX platform is perfect for CPU+GPU+IO applications,' said Mr. Wei Deng, chief technical officer of Dayang Technology Development Inc. 'It makes our products future-proof. As computing power increases our customers will see additional performance benefits and always have the extra edge that the Matrox hardware provides.' |
