Distrupol adds further to application development team in the UK
|
Distrupol
: 27 October, 2003 (Company News) |
|
Distrupol has announced another expansion to its application development team with the appointment of Derek Bean. |
|
Derek Bean has a BSc (Hons) degree in polymer science and technology, and more than seven-years experience of working within the polymer industry. He joined Distrupol in August and will work directly with the distributor’s customers in the East of England. The appointment means that the Distrupol application development team in the UK now has five technical, product and process specialists supporting the company’s plastics raw materials portfolio.
“Derek’s appointment is a further demonstration of Distrupol’s commitment to providing our customers with the application and development support they tell us they need,” says Ray Estall, UK commercial director, “It is an investment in the future and gives us greater opportunities to get involved with customers and their development projects at an early stage.”
“Distrupol is ideally placed to offer the very best independent advice and technical support, a service not available from many companies these days, not even polymer manufacturers,” explains Estall. “At Distrupol, we see the role of our application development team as being vital in forging the kind of winning partnerships with our customers, necessary for us both to prosper in todays challenging, global economy.
Derek Bean has been closely involved in the development of high specification polymers. Also, he has first-hand knowledge of component manufacturing involving both injection moulding and extrusion processes.
