Foamed polypropylene grade with reduced bead size moulds thinner structures with smoother surfaces

ARPRO 5635 now enables applications to integrate very thin sections and smoother surfaces to create more complex components with improved aesthetics.
The reduced bead size of only 0.5mg of 5635 permits further increased quality on existing parts, but most importantly opens doors to new applications. The latest innovation also enables industries to expand the use of ARPRO to more complex parts including thinner walls while providing refined aesthetics.
 
Paul Compton, CEO for JSP EMEA states "Steam chest moulding technologies usually restrict the use of materials for certain applications and components requiring very thin structures, ribs or fine details can be difficult to achieve.
 
“This improved grade further enhances aesthetics and opens up new application areas.  The energy absorption at light weight capability is maintained, whilst processing is simplified.  ARPRO 5635 now creates new business opportunities where 3D shape capability, structural strength, thermal insulation and the other inherent ARPRO features bring massive user advantages, for example in the HVAC industry.”

ARPRO is a remarkable material you may be seeing a lot more of around homes, offices and many other places. 
 
It is an expanded polypropylene (EPP) foam material. It is an eco-friendly, flexible and versatile plastic foam designed for lightweight, energy management and cushioning applications. It provides energy absorption with structural strength but very low weight. Oher features are its chemical resistance, thermal and acoustical insulation, sound insulation and recyclable. Typical uses are; safety components for automotive applications, multi-use transport packaging, HVAC housings. It is available in a range of special Grades, engineered to serve specific requirements such as electromagnetic or flame-retardant characteristics and other demanding applications. 
 
ARPRO contains billions of closed air cells that absorb impact before returning to their original shape. ARPRO will not scratch even the finest hardwood floors or damage walls if you happen to bump them.
 
ARPRO fends off dirt, spills, stains of all sorts. Just wipe with damp cloth or sterilise with steam. Although ARPRO generally reacts well to aggressive chemicals, it is advised to always clean using a water-dampened cloth with a mild detergent. Avoid abrasive cleaning agents.
 
Importantly, ARPRO is so environmentally friendly that it is actually approved for food contact. It is completely odourless, hypoallergenic, emission-free, and is 100% recyclable. When ARPRO is made, there is actually a positive impact because recycled CO2 is utilised.
