GE's Global media & communications financing strengthens commitment to Asia-Pacific

GE Commercial Finance, Global Media & Communications today announced a deepening of its commitment to the Asia-Pacific region with the relocation of managing director Bhupesh Gupta to Hong Kong. He will join Daniel Camacho, a Global Media & Communications director who recently joined the team, while continuing to be responsible for leading GE's telecom, cable, media and entertainment financing initiatives in the region.
Together, Gupta and Camacho will be responsible for developing client relationships within the media and telecommunications and entertainment sectors and coordinating with GE Commercial Finance, Corporate Financial Services Asia teams to provide both debt and equity financing in these sectors.

Gupta has been responsible for Global Media & Communications' business in Asia-Pacific from the U.S. prior to moving to Hong Kong and is already familiar with the region. Gupta's move to Hong Kong is a reflection of the business' success in the region and steadfastness to growth. Prior to this assignment, Gupta was head of underwriting and portfolio management for GE Commercial Finance's former telecom financing business where he focused on telecom and media financing and investing in the United States, Europe and India. He has led transactions covering many sectors in this space including wireline, mobile, towers and cable. Gupta has more than 23 years of experience, with a significant focus in finance, structuring and corporate advisory.

Camacho brings to GE more than 14 years of experience in structured capital and leveraged finance, with a focus on the media and telecom sectors. Before joining GE, Camacho was a vice president at ABN Amro Bank where he originated, structured and executed multiple award-winning deals. Camacho also held various positions at Bank of the Philippine Islands.
