After more than five years of experience working with composites in global markets, Greene, Tweed is taking this expertise and transferring its learnings to create innovative solutions for airframers and OEMs to expand their current aerospace offerings.
Through knowledge of the fluid handling market, Greene, Tweed has mastered the difficulty of dealing with chemicals, temperature extremes and arduous environments. By working closely with the medical industry, Greene, Tweed understands the rigors of developing components to meet and pass stringent qualifications. Additionally, Greene, Tweed composite components continue to solve the problems inherent in high-performance defense applications.
While Greene, Tweed may be a new player to the aerospace composite market, it is certainly not new to the broader aerospace market. 'We have successfully supplied the aerospace industry with customized engineered components for over 50 years. By partnering with our customers we have realized the need for composite components that can live up to demanding aerospace environments. Our expanded composite offerings have been engineered to exceed those needs,' said John Mergenthaler, vice president and general manager of Greene, Tweed's aerospace business.
Greene, Tweed's composite experience is already opening doors in the aerospace industry. The company is working with several major aerospace companies on projects on key platforms that require Greene, Tweed's lightweight, corrosion-resistant thermoplastic composite expertise. |
