Hand-held tube straightening tool

Kwix UK : 12 June, 2013  (New Product)
KwixUk has designed and patented a hand-held tube straightening tool, which can easily and accurately straighten tube from a coil.

Matthew Murphy, founder and inventor of Kwix UK, has been in the plumbing and gas business for 19 years. When one day five years ago whilst trying to fit a heating system, he noticed that the pipe wasn’t fitting through holes properly because it was twisted.

The revolutionary tool will straighten all types of light-wall coiled tubing, such as copper, aluminium, stainless steel and brass.

Weighing in at 500g, the product is aimed at the heating and ventilation, refrigeration and air conditioning and automotive sectors.

Each tool is made to straighten a fixed tube diameter size, and the tool can be manufactured for all popular coiled tube sizes in both metric and imperial (utside diameter sizes): 4, 5, 6, 8 and 10mm and 1/8, 3/16, 1/4, 5/16 and 3/8in. The tool may be manufactured for larger tube sizes, such as 12mm, but only if they are light wall 0.7mm coils. In the coming months, more sizes are planned to widen the application range.

This is a very strong tool, and has been tested by driving a heavy goods vehicle over it! It is not suitable for bending tube pipes.

“This tool makes a job so much easier and saves time and
money," said Murphy. "Once I began working on this product,
I could just see that it made sense and everyone who tried
it was very impressed by it.
