Honeywell has increased the price of Methyl Ethyl Ketoxime (MEKO) for orders shipped and invoiced on or after 1 January 2005. The price increase will be $0.24 per pound (US$0.53/kg.) on all package sizes of MEKO.

MEKO is used in a variety of coatings and sealants applications and is part of the diverse product portfolio of Honeywell Chemicals. The price increase is based on the increased cost and limited availability of methyl ethyl ketone, an essential raw material used in the production of MEKO. The new increase follows the US$0.07 per pound (US$0.15/kg.) price increase announced during September 2004 for the same reasons.

Where contracts allow, Honeywell is also increase the prices for MEKO-silanes on 1 January 2005.
