Combined with Matrox's multi-monitor features, including Matrox Multi-Pivot/Portrait and MultiDesk, the Matrox MED Series of graphics cards offers the medical imaging community the ultimate in visual quality and reliability.

'Pristine image quality is of utmost importance in the medical imaging field,' says Reinhard Bršuer, director of sales and marketing, Siemens Automation and Drives, Display Technologies. 'Based on our experience with Matrox medical products to date, we know that Matrox graphics cards provide the outstanding image quality that medical imaging professionals insist upon. The new Matrox MED5mp, five megapixel analog grayscale PCI card is no exception.'

With fast image loading and full support for the Digital Imaging and Communications in Medicine standards for grayscale calibration of portrait and/or landscape resolutions, this new selection of medical graphics solutions provides precise images in color or grayscale and flicker-free output for applications such as X-ray imaging, magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, computed radiography and cardiology, and Picture Archiving and Communications Systems applications such as review stations and diagnostic stations.

'The new Matrox MED3mp-DVI digital, three megapixel graphics card has stunning display output capabilities,' says Carmen Piucci, president, National Display Systems Inc. 'Combined with their two megapixel offering, Matrox delivers our medical customers the ultimate in flexibility, providing a single source for a wide range of resolutions.'

The Matrox MED Series provides users with incomparable reliability and stability, based on state-of-the-art 0.15 micron, single-chip graphics technology, and software drivers proven through millions of units shipped per year. The only graphics manufacturer that designs its own graphics chips, boards and drivers, Matrox Graphics uses its complete control of all aspects of the graphics card design to ensure the highest possible image quality, reliability and performance.
