Matrox Graphics Inc., the leading manufacturer of professional graphics solutions, is pleased to announce the latest addition to its Matrox RAD Series of display controller boards, the Matrox RAD3mp. With exceptional reviewing, assessing and diagnosing capabilities, the Matrox RAD3mp was designed for review and diagnostic stations, offering the most flexible multi-display capabilities and practical feature-set.
With multi-monitor support of up to two 3 MP grayscale or color digital displays, or up to 2 MP grayscale or color analog displays, the RAD3mp display controller board continues Matrox's world-renowned tradition of imaging excellence, bringing pristine image quality and flexible multi-display capabilities to medical workstations, including accelerated image manipulation and performance, and support from the Matrox Imaging Library (MIL) software development toolkit. Equipped with Hardware Pivot for smooth and accelerated portrait image displays, the RAD3mp is capable of driving various combinations of color and grayscale displays in stretched or independent modes. Also featured in the RAD3mp display controller is Matrox's real-time grayscale processing technology, ExtendiGray©. For grayscale displays, one feature of ExtendiGray© is the concurrent execution of grayscale applications alongside color Microsoft Windows desktop applications such as Word and Internet Explorer without any desktop artifacts. A second feature is the ability to convert color displays to grayscale, to provide an all-grayscale environment and minimize any color distraction that would otherwise be prominent when reviewing grayscale-only images.
'With the stunning image quality and practical feature-set of our other RAD Series boards, the RAD3mp brings added functionality to those medical imaging professionals using the latest 3 MP displays,' says George Rigas, medical product manager, Matrox Graphics Inc. 'Designed for both reviewing and diagnosing workstations, the RAD3mp further compliments our overall solution-set, offering users the utmost in flexibility and features for their money.' |
