Continuing in its philosophy of continuous development of its ranges of welding equipment, ESAB has now introduced its LAF series of power sources.
These new units are remote controlled, three phase, fan cooled welding power sources designed for high productivity, automatic, submerged or MIG/MAG arc welding. They have excellent welding characteristics throughout the whole current and voltage ranges and show good arc stability at both high and low arc voltages.
The LAF 635 can be adjusted and monitored from the front panel of the process controller (PEH) and allows easy adjustment of all welding parameters, which can be adjusted during welding.
Overload protection is by a thermal cut-out. When it trips, it eliminates a yellow light on the control panel. It resets itself when the temperature drops to a safe level.
By connecting two power sources together in parallel, the welding current can be extended.
These power sources are also ideal for submerged arc welding and because they produce a stable arc at very low currents and voltages, they are ideal for MIG and MAG welding.
The LAF 635 weighs 260kg and measures 652mm long x 483mm wide and 916mm high. |
