New, longer lasting groove creasing matrix system launched by Sandvik Saxon

Sandvik Coromant UK : 07 January, 2003  (Company News)
A new, longer lasting groove creasing matrix system, designed for use by the printing and packaging industry in conjunction with cutting and creasing formes, has been launched by Sandvik Saxon.
Produced by market leading manufacturer, Kris, the new, high quality system, branded 'N.E.K. Matrix' is the result of extensive laboratory testing and customer trials. It has been developed using the properties of vulcanised fibre and the resulting good abrasion and high mechanical resistance means that it is longer lasting. It offers high quality creasing and incorporates the Kris base adhesive, which adheres firmly to the cutting plate, yet can be removed without leaving any trace of the adhesive.

It also has a 'Fingerlift' adhesive paper system. Kris was the first manufacturer of creasing matrix to introduce the system. It enables the matrix to be located quickly and accurately alongside the creasing rule and the 'Fingerlift' protective adhesive paper is extremely easy to remove. As a result, make ready time for cutting and creasing formes can be significantly reduced.

Sandvik Saxon is the exclusive UK and Eire distributor for Kris groove creasing matrix systems.

Kris N.E.K. Matrix is available in widths from 0.8 mm up to 5.0 mm and four different profiles - 'standard'; 'off-centre' for forming a double crease or where the crease is located close to the cutting rule; 'mini' for multiple crease applications and 'inside bevel' which helps prevent splitting when used on recycled or inferior quality corrugated boards.

Sandvik Saxon has issued a four page technical and size range brochure, describing the new groove creasing matrix range.

Copies can be obtained from Sandvik Saxon, Great Central Way, Rugby, Warwickshire CV21 3XH,
