Devices in the new Vishay Semiconductors TLMx2100 and TLMx2300 MiniLED families are available in all typical wavelengths from 465 nm to 630 nm, providing exceptionally bright illumination at 10 mA and 20 mA, respectively. TLMx2100 color options include super red (7.5 mcd), orange (7.5 mcd), yellow (7.5 mcd), green (10.0 mcd), pure green (2.2 mcd), and blue (7.0 mcd). For applications requiring maximum intensity, TLMx2300 devices built on AllnGaP on GaAs technology are offered in ultra-bright red (80 mcd), orange (120 mcd), and yellow (120 mcd) versions. |

Two new series of miniature SMD LEDs designed to provide compact, high-power solutions for demanding automotive and industrial applications were launched today by Vishay Intertechnology, Inc.

Embedded in a small white EIA- and ICE-standard package measuring just 2.3 mm by 1.3 mm by 1.4 mm, the LEDs' low-profile lead-frame construction reduces thermal resistance to a minimum. All nine devices feature a 120° angle of intensity and a non-diffused lens that facilitates coupling to light pipes.
Luminous intensity ratio options of 2.0 or less and 1.6 or less per packing unit guarantee the even lighting required in high-quality indicator, display, and backlighting applications in systems including dashboards and car radio displays.
TLMx2100 and TLMx2300 devices are specified for an operating temperature range of -40°C to +100°C and a maximum junction temperature of 125°C. CECC compatibility with infrared, vapor phase, and wave solder processes simplifies handling and automatic assembly. |
