It has a round shape, scissor doors, and special service and equipment extras, and is sure to steal the show at the New York International Auto Show. At its first official presentation recently at the 'Hall of the Automobile' in San Francisco, all eyes were on the Obvio! 828. It's an ambitious project by small car manufacturer Obvio! Automoveículos of Rio de Janeiro in Brazil. BASF Coatings AG, Automotive Refinish / Commercial Transport Coatings Solutions is not only the carmaker's paint supplier, but also supports the development of paints and their application as part of a small series in its Center of Professional Development with Glasurit brand.

In record time, Glasurit paint specialists developed a procedure for painting the Obvio! 828 that was suited for the small-series manufacturer. Obvio! Automoveículos of Rio de Janeiro had tough requirements, because the Obvio! 828 is intended to be an innovative and high-performance mode of transportation for the urban challenges of the 21st century, sporting a paint job that is equally innovative. Equipped with a continuously variable transmission, scissor doors, and an iMobile Entertainment Center, the round roadster offers space for up to three people sitting next to each other. In addition to the clever ideas, the paint job was also key to displaying the car's special features. Its lively lines and gleaming colors are particularly eye-catching.

Starting in 2007, the Obvio! 828 is also scheduled to be sold in North America, beginning in Canada and the United States.
