New Vishay Dale NTC thermistor assemblies offer wide range of standard and custom configurations

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. today announced the release of a new series of negative temperature coefficient thermistor assemblies designed for temperature measurement, control, and compensation applications in automotive and medical systems, instrumentation, and consumer products. The Vishay Dale NTC leaded assemblies can be attached or integrated into any system to provide environmental control and monitoring.
Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. today announced the release of a new series of negative temperature coefficient thermistor assemblies designed for temperature measurement, control, and compensation applications in automotive and medical systems, instrumentation, and consumer products. The Vishay Dale NTC leaded assemblies can be attached or integrated into any system to provide environmental control and monitoring.

The new thermistor assemblies are available in a variety of standard and custom configurations, which may be specified according to application, operating environment, mounting, time response, and minimum dissipation constant.

Standard assembly housing options include immersion, cup, tex/bushing, ring tongue, and pipe styles, as well as a broad choice of connector and hook-up wire types. NTC thermistor assemblies require no added labor prior to integration into intended applications, allowing designers to reduce component count and assembly costs.

Standard resistance values for the thermistor component range from 50 Ω to 1 MΩ, with 10 curve options. Curve tracking tolerances range from 0.2c to 1c with temperatures from -20C up to +100C. Tolerance options from 1% to 10% are available.

Customers for the new NTC thermistor assemblies will specify devices simply by selecting the appropriate style, wire type, and wire length for the assembly and the desired curve, resistance value, and tolerance for the thermistor.

NTC thermistor assemblies may be used in conjunction withother Vishay products including resistors and capacitors in temperature-measurement circuits, LED and LCD displays of temperature readinags, and connectors for communicating with the external world.

Samples and production quantities of the NTC thermistor assembly are available now, with lead times of eight to 10 weeks for larger orders.
