Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. today announced that it has extended the IHLP family of low-profile, high-current inductors with a new device that offers the lowest DCR/µH available in a compact 0.402-in. by 0.452 in. [10.2 mm by 11.5 mm] package with a low 0.157 in. [4.0 mm] height profile.
With industry-leading specifications including DCR values down to 0.65 mΩ at 0.19 µH, the new Vishay Dale IHLP-4040DZ-05 is a high-performance, space- and power-saving solution for dc-to-dc converter applications in end products including next-generation mobile devices; notebooks, desktop computers, and servers; low-profile, high-current power supplies and point of load converters; distributed power systems; and field programmable gate arrays.
This new power inductor handles high transient current spikes without saturation and operates over a frequency range up to 5 MHz. Saturation current and typical DCR values for the inductor range from 40 A to 60 A and from 1.55 mΩ to 0.65 mΩ, respectively, over an inductance range of 0.56 µH to 0.19 µH. Inductance tolerance for the new device is ±20%. |
