Plant signs group agreement to supply new design to manufacturing solutions

Global Manufacturing and Design Software Specialists Become Autodesk Unique Applications Resellers Planit Holdings Plc has extended the collaboration between its Radan and Alphacam operating companies and Autodesk through the signing of a group-wide agreement to become an Autodesk Inventor Unique Application Reseller. The new collaboration also builds on Radan’s strong reputation as an Autodesk System Centre. “Radan has enormous experience of providing solutions that include Autodesk design software and, certainly in the UK, we acknowledge the company as our leading partner in the sheet metal sector,” notes Kevin Ison, Autodesk Sales Director, Manufacturing Solutions Division. “Autodesk’s Unique Applications Reseller programme recognises that manufacturing companies require highly competent suppliers, who understand their processes from end to end. We feel that Radan and its sister organisations within the Planit group clearly offer this.” Planit’s manufacturing software covers the complete spectrum of user industries and includes Alphacam 2-5 axis machining modules for metal, stone and woodworking applications, as well as Radan’s sheet metal punching, profiling and bending solutions. “The integration of Autodesk Inventor with our software and support services enables us to add significant value to our customers’ operations,” says Patrick Love, Planit’s Group Sales and Marketing Director. “Our experience and skills in the manufacturing arena will prove invaluable in assisting customers to utilise our portfolio of design-to-manufacturing software for maximum competitive advantage.”

22nd March 2006 HIGH-SPEED PRESSWORKING LINE AT MACH 2006 A fully operational production line will be shown by Bruderer on stand 4428 at MACH 2006, based on its BSTA 250-75B high-speed press. The machine has a capacity of 250 kN and is fitted with the latest, PC-based B-Control system, which in conjunction with servo drives built into the press allows automatic adjustment of ram stroke, coil pitch and punching speed each time a tool is reused. Ancillary equipment from Leicht Stamping Automation will include a Dualmate PTW-110 Uncoiler capable of vertical and horizontal pay-off modes, and rewinder model EW-100-R which will be shown for the first time. Completing the metal stamping display will be Unidor tool safety equipment, a selection of Fibro standard tooling components and a servo feed from P/A Industries' comprehensive range of press shop ancillaries.
