Sandvik Saxon launches new bending machine for diecutting rules

Sandvik Coromant UK : 14 May, 2003  (Company News)
A new machine for bending diecutting rules, used for deep cutting of plastic or vacuum formed packaging, has been launched by Sandvik Saxon, part of Sandvik DieCutting Products.
The new High Rule Bender, designated 58 - 0, has been produced for easy processing of Sandvik's Dieflex Hard High cutting rules, which have been specially developed for the plastics industry.

The machine is bench mounted, is operated by a handle and foot control combined with hydraulic power and is equipped with a fine threaded adjustable stop for multiple bending.

It is supplied, as standard, with 3 sets of tools, which can be interchanged to give a variety of radii and shapes. Accessories include analogue or digital callipers for settings down to 0.01mm and a side table for an extended working surface.

Sandvik's Dieflex Hard High cutting rules have a body hardness of 400Hv and are decarburised to ensure good bendability. Rules are edge hardened to increase cutting life and are available with shaved or ground edges in all edge configurations. They can be supplied in 3, 4 and 6 point thicknesses and heights up to 100mm.

The Sandvik 58.0 High Rule Bender is manufactured for Sandvik by Sweden's Wahlquist Verkstäder AB. The company has over 50 years experience in the manufacturer of cutting rule processing machines and has been a supplier to Sandvik for more than 20 years. A wide range of high quality, durable free standing and bench mounted machines is available.
