Sharp introduces 10 new models of the AQUOS LCD TV B series, made at the Kameyama plant

Sharp Electronics (Europe) GmbH : 08 January, 2007  (Company News)
Sharp Corporation announces the introduction into the Japanese market of 10 new models of the AQUOS B Series sporting LCD panels made at Sharp
The high 1200:1 contrast ratio panels (compared to 800:1 for previous models) offer increased tonality for black hues that gives users deep, rich blacks in dark rooms and sharp, expressive images in bright rooms. The wide 176° viewing angle (compared to 170° for previous models) from left, right, top, and bottom gives pictures with minimal color changes and “white washout” even from extreme angles. The fast 6-msec response time gives crisp display of rapidly moving images and scrolling on-screen text. The Four-Wavelength Backlight gives beautiful reproduction of skin colors, allowing the AQUOS to faithfully capture even the pain and exhilaration on an athlete’s face.

The 45V-inch and 37V-inch models have two built-in digital tuners for receiving terrestrial, BS, and CS110° digital broadcasts, enabling you to watch two digital programs simultaneously or record one while watching the other. The B Series has a wealth of input/output jacks, including the next-generation High-Definition Multimedia Interface input, a Digital Visual Interface input for PCs and other equipment, and an i.LINK jack for connecting to high-definition equipment.

The B Series also features unparalleled environmentally considerate design: low power consumption, a long service life, the world’s first use of plant-based resin paint made from corn (for the LC-45BE1W/2W), and total elimination of the six harmful substances covered by the newly established J-Moss system.

With an expanded lineup bringing together Sharp’s LCD panel and imaging technologies and offering the vastly improved contrast, wide viewing angle, fast image response, faithful color reproduction, and superior environmental performance you want in a large-screen TV, the B Series keeps Sharp at the forefront of the digital high-definition revolution.

Major Features
