Special application rules

Sandvik Coromant UK : 14 March, 2000  (Company News)
A combination of investment in new manufacturing equipment and fast track raw material supplies from its Swedish producing mills has enabled Sandvik Saxon to offer the packaging and print industries, Europe's widest range of diemaking rules for special applications.
Recognising the need to provide a fast and efficient service to diemakers, Sandvik Saxon has made full use of the control over manufacture within the Sandvik Group. Having also increased its UK production capacity by over 30% and developed its in-house toolmaking facilities, Sandvik Saxon now has the flexibility to make all types of special rule required by the packaging and print industries. It also has the capability to meet customer specific requirements.

Typical special rule applications include perforating, cut crease, wave, glue flap and hand hole perforating and jigsaw puzzle, zipper and label cutting.

Supplied in rule heights up to 50mm, in cut lengths or coils, many special rules are available off-the-shelf and can be delivered overnight if required.

Sandvik Saxon is part of the AB Sandvik Steel steelmaking group and manufactures diemaking rules produced from precision strip steel from its mills in Sweden. In addition to control over raw material supply there is the benefit of total quality control over the special rule programme from raw materials to the finished rule.
