Vishay Beyschlag chip Rrsistors in 0402 package

Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. has announced that it has extended its family of Vishay Beyschlag thin film flat chip resistors with the introduction of high-stability, precision devices in miniature 0402 packages. Available with values from 100 Ω to 221 kΩ, the new devices offer the industry's widest resistance range for CECC-certified precision resistors at this size.
Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. has announced that it has extended its family of Vishay Beyschlag thin film flat chip resistors with the introduction of high-stability, precision devices in miniature 0402 packages. Available with values from 100 Ω to 221 kΩ, the new devices offer the industry's widest resistance range for CECC-certified precision resistors at this size.

All of the devices in the new MCS0402 range are qualified according to EN 140401-801. Precision characteristics include close tolerances of 0.1 % or 0.25 %, superior overall stability (class 0.1 and 0.25), and TCR ratings from 25 ppm/K down to just 10 ppm/K.

The combination of small size and precise, stable operation makes the MCS0402 resistors ideal for high-accuracy designs where board space is limited. As a result, potential applications include telecom base stations, cellular handsets, test and measurement equipment, industrial systems, and consumer electronics products including high-end audio technology. The devices are also suitable for medical equipment and automotive electronics applications such as body electronics, security, engine management, and power supplies.

MCS0402 precision resistors have a maximum voltage rating of 50 V and are designed to operate with film temperatures up to 125 C. Rated power dissipation is specified at 0.063 W, while insulation voltage is rated at 75 V (for one minute continuous).

The superior precision and stability characteristics of the Vishay Beyschlag MCS0402 series have been achieved by combining an ultra-stable thin film resistive layer, high-quality contacts between the resistive and conductive layers, and an advanced, proprietary laser trimming method that ensures maximum accuracy.

The MCS0402 ultra-small thin film precision resistors join the Vishay Beyschlag existing ranges of surface-mount precision resistors, which include devices in 0603 outline offering resistance values from 39 Ω to 511 kΩ, 0805 devices with values from 39 Ω to 1.5 MΩ, and 1206 devices rated from 39 Ω to 2 MΩ.

Vishay Beyschlag MCS0402 resistors are fully compatible with tin-lead and lead (Pb)-free soldering processes.
